GTA is a fairly popular game (approximately as popular as Mario Kart) that people are assuming will somehow magically sell many times as many boxes as Halo 3 sold. But it won't have an effect on the Wii and will probably sell fewer consoles than Halo 3 did. There is very little reason to believe otherwise.


GTA is a partially casual game, and there are many rumours that both the PS3 and 360 will receive price drops around that time, attracting more casual gamers


  brawl is released far earlier then GTA (isn't it?) so why would they have it releasing later for POST-gta? I mean what has GTA to do with brawl releasing a month later? (unless you mean when gta was still scheduled as a spring title, back in novermber). 


 I thought it was just delayed until Q2?

i have a Ps3 and a Wii as well.....and i think Wii is more fun!! :o)

i use Ps3 mostly for movies.....

 

GTA and SSBB are released about the same time, Wii Fit in Europe as well, with GTA.... these games are very different.... i don't know which one to get.....most likely Wii Fit.... (out of the 2, ssbb is late in europe..... )

I hope the wii breaks every record possible, its an amazing system.

This is great for nintendo they really needed this, last gen was crucial to there survival. Thanks to the wii they made a HUGE COMEBACK.

I think DVD was introduced in 1996, so the PS2 would have had to be released in this year to be similar to PS3 and Blu-ray.

 I thought you had (sarcastically) lost your faith in the Wii because SMG was only like 30 hours long or something? This was a while ago. Oh well.

1996/1998... same difference. ;) Either way, the system is more expensive, and thus, probably sells less. Also, since the PS was out at some point (don't know dates off the top of my head), it wouldn't have worked the same way. Oh well.

I'm tired and can't think straight. Now I have to go over to "Who Will Win the Console Wars" and straighten them up.
