Look at all those increases!

-Paper Mario is doing very well! It's an awesome game and it deserves the sales. I hope it can atleast pass 400k in Japan, even more would be glorious.

-Run for your Money = BEAST!

-Animal Crossing... We're not worthy

Around the Network

3DS is really a monster in Japan. Just look at those Animal Crossing sales! With Mario and Animal Crossing still selling and the strong software lineup it could even be up yoy in 2013! It's currently on its way to 5.5m units in 2012.

Wii U numbers are decent but not spectacular. We'll have to way for next week to see how it does - general demand will increase so if Wii U sales are up we'll know there's actual momentum behind the system's sales. I expect sales to be flat next week.

3DS still kicking ass.

Monster Hunter U had quite a significant drop, not to mention the other 3rd party games that clearly drowned. I'd say the WiiU is limited to the traditional Nintendo audience for most part.

So much for WiiU being a flop, I suppose. Everyone said it did bad because it launched below Vita in Japan, but it's 2 week launch LTD is higher than Vita's (and Wii's and, of course, PS3's).

The ironic thing about last weeks Wii U Japan launch thread (and UK launch thread) is that the folks who compared it to Vita seem to be acknowledging the fact that the Vita has been a failure.

Wonder what those folks in that thread have to say about Wii numbers given these facts...

Around the Network

I made a predication a couple weeks back that the majority of Nintendo fans will camp out at Media Create/Famitsu threads because that's the only place where Nintendo is doing decently

Compare that to the UK/Europe weekly thread

Hmm

Interesting to see how WiiU does in the coming weeks

40K without FF? GREAT!!!

Wii U still not out of the woods yet. It should still increase next week, so we'll see.

LOL at Vita selling less than the Xbox 360 did in it's second christmas in Japan.
