Stupid article is stupid. Power has pretty much never, ever been the deciding factor in a generation, Wii dominated the other two in sales with a significant power disadvantage. Lack of third party support was a problem for gamers but the thing that the media forgets is that Nintendo doesn't have to care if the third parties support them or not. They make money hand over fist from console sales plus their own huge first party game sales and I'm pretty sure they can continue to do so for as long as consoles stay relevant.

Bottom line WiiU is going to do fine, power not withstanding and Nintendo is not going to abandon a console after only 2 year just to keep up with the Joneses.

Don't go too hard on him guys, the poor thing was probably drunk when he wrote this article.

If WiiU fails as hard as the Wii did, Nintendo would end up with $20B in the bank.

Fair enough Nintendo has proven that they dont need a moster console to be successful, but would it hurt to give there consoles a little more grunt? not insane amounts just a lil kick, mabye it could help bring in more developers, and bucket load of new games. I am by no means a Nintendo hater, hell Nintendo got me into gaming in the first place id just love to see a new Wii with a bit of horsepower.
