Forums - Gaming Discussion - I sold my 3DS to save up for a WiiU

No surprise I sold mine withing a few months of owning it. PS Vita is the way to go for myself.

Make sure to get Trine 2. It's 30% platforming, 70% puzzles, only $ 15 and one of the most beautiful 2D games I've ever played (only rivaled by other beauties like Muramasa). Owners love it, which you can see when you check its Miiverse community - probably Wii U's best feature. You won't regret it.

Is it only 15 now?  I thought it was 20.

So let me see if I got this right, you're not satisfied with 3DS, from launch and you decide to sell it and get another product at launch...despite the fact that the 3ds was the third launch system you bought from Ninty and ended up being let down. You're cool Ryan, but IMHO you kind of sound like a damn fool, or at least one of those woman who are in a bad relationship and dont have the common sense or self respect to leave. Doing something over and over again and expecting different results...there is a word for that.

I find it comical that you crap on 3ds by saying it just had old games, where pretty much more than half of the Wii U library is just that, BUT if you dont game on a PS360/PC then i guess they are new to you so game on. Wouldnt recommend ME3 though. But really, Im glad you got rid of it, seeing post after post of 3ds complaining was getting a bit sad, what were you expecting?

I gave up on wanting a WiiU and bought a 3DS on Saturday.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

Wii U is an outstading system. The best system available to date. It may or may not be surpassed by what's to come, but I doubt you will have regrets. Especially if you don't have a 360 or PS3. If you don't, it's a complete win.

yeah wiiU is an amazing system, i only have NG3 so if you get that game please send me a message :)

pezus is trying to slow down or reduce the sales of wiiu whatever it takes lol.

Nintendo are making a good enough effort themselves

i see... lol

I haven't jumped into this generations handhelds... with my iphone and ipad, my mobile needs are kind of taken care of...

However, I have been looking at the handhelds to see if they can get some games that I really want that might convince me to get them. Unfortunately, neither of the handhelds have any must own games yet. I kind of wants zelda and fire emblem on the 3ds and kind of want uncharted on vita, but that isn't enough for me to buy into the system.

One game coming out for the 3ds that might make me jump in for that system is the professor layton and phoenix wright game. I'm going to wait and see how that turns out though...

"Then we have the game situation. There was and have been hardly any."

The WiiU doesn't have that many good games coming out on it anytime soon aswell though :/

not to mention if he is really expecting a Zelda on Wii U by next year, then he is even more far gone than i thought

I bought NintendoLand (inc), NSMB, AC3, CODBO2, Batman and Trine2. If that doesn't keep me occupied through spring I need to get ouside more. ZombieU, Rayman Legends and Pikmin3 also look very good. That's a heavy load of AAA titles not counting the ones I don't plan on picking up like Darksiders and ME3. It's easily the best lineup of high-end games for a launch, ever. Reminds me of opening an SNES on Christmas morning and taking all winter to wade through MarioWorld, F-Zero, Castlevania 4, FF2(4), Actraiser and so on. If Spurge picks up a WiiU he'll have endless high-end entertainment until the next wave, which will probably be even better.

I never get why people sell their consoles.

To me, it would be like selling a piece of my soul...

I LOVE ICELAND!
