With so much talk this year about arcade games I thought I'd make a list of the best of the best from both.  This should help you buy some from both platforms in case you missed them.  i will put the metacritic score  by each whether they were timed exclusive, console exclusive, or exclusive next to each one. Let me know if I made any mistakes This is every game above 80 on metacritic.  I was just going to do top 20 for both since their could be a debate, but instead you have this now thanks to somebody in the comments.

Isn't Symphony of the Night on both platforms? Moreover, should that be counted at all, since it's available on PS1?

No it's only for XBLA if my research was correct.  I will knock off the exclusive though as you said it is a PS1 game :)

Castlevania SOTN is on PSN. 

 

Also, are you including PS Minis? If so, you need to include Velocity! 87 Meta, awesome game.

This seems like a very arbitrary list.

Also, not sure why half of the psn list is games that are on both. If you list it one one, why not the other?

I went by metacritic scores.  A lot of games are rated lower than the XBLA version because of a later release date.

Already fixed but thank you :)

None was ranked on metacritic from what I could see.  I will remove Castlevania and remove it though since it is a PS1 title and that makes it unfair. Thank you guys for your help.  Any more corrections just let me know

You shouldn't probably include wipeout HD and Fury both. In fact, it is as good as full game and has a retail release as well. Fury is just an expansion.
