Hello to all you Wonderful People of VGchartz Forum!!! Im inspired by lots of other threads to make this so here we go!!!

As of now 3DS has sold 24,345,921 units WW and with 4 weeks remaining it will increase no less than a million and no more than 4mil(well ma)ybe!!!

YoY 2011= 13.25 and 2012= 11.09(but will increase)

Next year will be big, Rumors of next gen Sony and Microsoft consoles may release during Winter Next year and with Wii U already out and Vita with a big potential price drop how will the 3DS adjust??? We all know it will have games to push hardware sales by a little and some titles may push it alot!!! We have Animal Crossing still not released in other regions(Japan only right now)! Luigi Mansion will definitely push sales but by how much? We have Fire Emblem also that people are buying a 3ds solely for!!!

But it doesn't stop there! Handheld King Title Pokemon might come out next year as a new generation(gen 6) or maybe remakes of 3rd gen??? Also unannounced titles that has a chance to come are DK, ZELDA, MARIO SPINOFF, MARIO 3D PLATFORMER, KIRBY, MONSTER HUNTER, ETC....

Also to note Nintendo's DS rocketed in sales its third year with a new pokemon game and sold very well.

I want to say 16mil because of the fact pokemon alone isnt on 3DS except spinoffs!!! I'll be happy if it gets over 20mil!!!

Im going to be a little more reserved and hope i am undestimating but i say between 10-12 million.

Probably a few but they would be wrong!

It's hard to say without knowing any of the planned releases for the second half of the year and half the releases for the first half. So far the first half looks to be shaping up better than this year's Jan-Jun, but without a huge Western hit like NSMB2 in the second half there isn't much potential for growth. 3DS needs a Pokémon game this year. Failing that, something else big, though I can't imagine what that would be. Even if I thought there could be a Metroid/F-Zero/Star Fox game coming to 3DS next Holiday, I'm not sure that's 'big enough.' The only other franchise I imagine could have a strong effect would be Zelda, and I doubt they'll have one of those ready for 2013.

What else is there? Super Mario 3D Land 2? 3DS needs Pokémon, it needs it bad, and it needs it next year. Even Mystery Dungeon could at least sell a few million and be a pretty big release late in the year.

So my guess is: without Pokémon, 15-17 mil. With a major Pokémon game released in November, 17-19 mil. With a major Pokémon game released in September, over 20 mil.

Monster Hunter is in fact coming; localization of 3G for US and EU, 4 for Japan. So that'll be good .

Anyway, I think we're looking at 40m total by next year, so that would mean 14m+ in 2013 assuming there's going to be at least a million of sales left for this year.
I'm not counting on Pokemon, though that might do wonders, because they just came out with B/W2.

Your right pokemon is a must it can push hardware 3-4mil alone if released WW IMO!
Im sure Nintendo will put in 3or 4 more ip's we haven't heard yet, Zelda and Kirby seem the most likely maybe F-Zero and star fox as well! I heard talk naybr SMG3D! has a nice ring to it LOL!
