I want to buy...

- Metal Gear Solid 4
- Devil May Cry HD Collection
- Ico HD Collection

That's what I want but if I found any good deal I can changed my mind.

that looks like 2% of my list. then again, my back catalog is 6 yr.'s long. no funds, no games.

It depends where - in Poland among newcomers for sure. I read on the forums that people buy PS3 with PS+ and don't buy any games.

Standing contrary to most in this thread, I've bought fewer games this year, or held off purchases, because of PS+. This is for two reasons:

1) I'm convinced any digital release will pop up for free on PS+ , or at a decent discount, so almost never buy digital products at release (and my decision has been repeatedly proven correct to the point that it seems daft to me to pay full price for digital games).

2) I've now received so many games from PS+ that I have a significant backlog meaning I have no need to buy more titles unless I really, really want them, so I'm as well to wait for them to drop in price (and they always do within a couple of months).

So, last year, I bought about 30 games or so on PS3. This year that's dropped to about 15, and a chunk of those have been bought with PS+ discounts (the rest, and there are a lot of them, I received 'free').

That said, as I think about it, PS+ has, if anything, impacted my 360 spending even more. PS+ provides so many games for 'free', and deep discounts of games both old and new, I have little reason to buy games on the 360 where it will cost more, and there are almost no exclusives. Last year I bought about 30 games on 360, this year I've only bought about 5.

So, I'm buying less because of PS+, but mostly less on the 360. Interesting.

Contrary to this, Steam purchases have significantly increased. The HD consoles are really beginning to look a touch tired in comparison to what my laptop can run, so I've been buying several multiplats on PC instead, as they are significantly cheaper, and they are significantly better.

How times have changed.

Just buy whatever u want, and if a game comes out for free on PS+ just sell ur copy on amazon, u can still get a good amount (10-15 dollar) for it, that alone will pay for the chunk of plus subscription!

I think if Sony would advertise PS+ it would steal a lot of market share from MS especially considering it costs less than Xbox Live to get hundreds of dollars worth of content every year.  Even NA might notice the value even if it seems very stubbornly in favor of MS for some reason.

Infamous 1 where everyone got for free when PSN was hacked is still fetching for 8 bucks on amazon + shipping. So ur net after amazon takes their cut is probably 6 bucks or so. And Infamous collection is like 30 bucks, and Infamous 2 is selling for like 13 bucks which is on IGC forever. This past months you guy RC All 4 1 which is selling 9 bucks, Bioshock 2 for 5 bucks and Resident Evil 5 gold edition 10 bucks and SF AE 14 bucks...

Even if you were to have all the game they gave you for free, you can sell all ur games and make ur money back...

Ive definitely been buying less recently. Chatted to my friends about getting Karting and PS:All Stars and we've decided to wait for it to come to PSN+

My gaming time is evenly split between PC and PS3 but other than Black Ops 2 I just haven't had a need to buy anything for the console.

Oh believe me. While Sony's main advertisement factor for the Ps3 is the free online service this gen. A paid for subscription service will be a hard justification for a major advertisement campaign as the average consumer will find it to be contradicting to what Sony has said about the "free Psn".

Plus how would you better justify "Pay us to recieve free games" without writing a wall of text???

If at all, it migh actually back fire on the average consumer and no longer see PSN as a free service.

Yay!!!
