current gap starting 2012 and ending dec 8, shows a decrease by one full million. With sales as similar as they are beyween the hd wonder twins, that will likely swing further toward ps3 as the sony console tends to outsell during the final week. Gap may increase by 200k up until xmas, but will be reclaimed last week and first week of 2013.

Also, recent updates show the ps3 as having outsold 360 the week after black friday by 30k. Truly an outstanding year for pstriple.

anyway, yeah yeah it's all "so what's" as usual.

Once the new consoles come in both the 360 and ps3 will start selling virtually nothing, the ps3 will never catch up to the 360 in time. Despite massive brand recognition from the last gen and free online the ps3 will still be stuck in last place.

Actually the gap for the year is 1.35 million, not 1 million.
