Bomberman Act Zero ... look it up... its a disgrace on the entire series of bomberman.

duke nukem looked like shit

it didn't look that bad on PC... but still, I don't know anyone ever describe that as beautiful. I think he got sidetracked, with more than just that too.

Skyrim

Some beautiful environments and really good graphics for a game of it's nature but it's combat is clunky and boring and there isn't a whole lot going on in the story and characters department either.

I agree on both counts.

I thought I was the only one who found RE6 graphically inferior to 5.

I think Skyrim matches perfectly - The game as a whole is beyond awesome, but the actual gameplay is stale as fuck.

Nintendo can make the most beautifull goty on a resolution of 720px x 576px with the power of NES.


I don't think you understand. This thread is supposed to be about games with great graphics and bad gameplay, which is why Nintendo doesn't count. He said though that Nintendo doesn't count because "we are not talking about specs, we refer to design", which would suggest that Nintendo does count.

It's a clear contradiction on his part.

An argument could be made for virtually every highly rated game with high end graphics: the game play and story will not appeal to all game players.
For me: Final Fantasy XIII, Prince of Persia (2008), Assassins Creed and Resident Evil 5 all had excellent graphics but the game play in all of those games were shallow and lackluster.
The top games that managed to bring top graphics and game play together as a complete package this generation were Uncharted 2/3, Gears of War series, Skyrim, Bioshock, GTA IV and Portal 2.

Totally agree with Fable 3 the gameplay is awful but Fable 2 isn't a lot better and both games have terrible load times and you spend a large amount of time at looking at the load screen instead of playing the game.  Fable/Fable the Lost Chapters is still the best game in the franchise and it could have been a lot better also.
