umm doesn't illinois already allow conceal carry?

only state that doesnt allow it and has taken the top spot in violence laately

but alaska hasn't seen any less violence and they have no regulation...

I'm curious about these statistics, are these gun deaths in illinois caused by criminals? Do they track that much information?

Well...  the gun deaths aren't from people hunting or using self defense... so yes they are criminals. Mostly from the high gang violence chicago has seen recently

For example, there was something ridiculous like 40 shootings over the puerto rican pride weekend and i think like 10 deaths.

Is that extrapolated from data or made up out of the air?

Was it gang members killing gang members? Was it wives killing husbands?

You can commit homicide and not be a criminal.

Just last year thousands of British were forced to watch their homes and businesses burn to the ground because they couldn't do anything against oppurtunistic, thieving rioters.

Um. You think. That it's OK to shoot people who are looting?

Umm yes?

if someone came in my house and started looting me do you want me to have a nice conversation in which he could kill me with anything?

Yes. Morally it's only acceptable to me to use reasonable force, i.e. equal to what they're using on you. So if they're using a gun you can use a gun, but that's the only situation. If they're just stealing stuff your job is to get away, phone the police and call your insurance about what was taken.

I'm finding it hard to believe that anyone thinks it's OK to shoot people who are just stealing things and not threatening you with a weapon. There has to be rule of law.

When someone comes in my house with children in with a knife or a gun I don't care about what you think is fair because I'm not not having honorable fight I'm trying to survive and protect my family. Plus they only return a certain amount of money back I personal experience this.

It's not made up. Most of the violence Illinois sees is from Chicago gangs.

Also, not everyone can afford insurance. And on top of that the police are known for being unreliable especially in a place like Chicago. Atlanta's response time on high priority 911 calls was 12 minutes. Actually, I was watching a Judge Mathis the other day and the plaintif was from Chicago and she called 911 on an assualt... The police told her she had to go to the station and file a police report...

That doesn't make it OK to shoot someone! This is a moral thing not an economic or pragmatic one.

No what makes it okay is an uninvited person breaking into your home and burglarizing your home. Case closed.

If some complete stranger has no regard for you or your belongings why should you care about them? Especially if they are performing acts they have no regard for their well being either
