This is a question that is difficult to answer to. While Journey is the most praised game of this year, or atleast seems to be, P4G is the highest scoring game of this year, but does not get as much praise as Journey does.

I thought about this for awhile, but didnot come to a definite conclusion, so I wanted to share my problem with you. Which deserves the GOTY?

I added a 3rd option, Walking Dead, that won the "official" VGA goty, it came as a surprise however.

Not Journey. It is praised for an arcade game. Even then you act as if there is no games ranked near the same area.

Far Cry 3 90
Mass Effect 3 - 93
Dishonored - 91
Borderlands 2 - 91

So why did you pick these three games and leave others off? That is a pretty weak list to choose from when you leave off so many great games

Mark of the Ninja - 91
FEZ - 89
Trials Evolution - 90

And I hope you realize that the games you mentioned will not win final award count.  Bad thread

The OP said 'Game of the Year', not 'Full Priced Game of the Year'.  That means any game is valid.  You don't have to like the game because of some kind of hours-to-complete formula that I don't understand but you can't exclude it just because you say so.

Ya, Walking Dead deserves the GOTY, both in reviews and gameplay.

Persona is a PS2 port BTW. Ports never get GOTY.

Gameplay? Out of all games suggested for GOTY TWD has the most restricted, basic gameplay. It's the writing and the acting that make it amazing.

So VGAs are over and that won?

I'm not here to discuss that.  I'm here to say this list sucks.  Not only is The Walking Dead not the best rated but he excludes games that should be on the list.  This is a bad list, simple as that.  This is actually worst than the VGA list which was bad to begin with.  Not even going to vote with a list as bad as this.

You do realize that their will be like 50 other sites giving awards away and GoTy awards?  VGA just has the most publicity
