All i want is Crunchyroll out of that list. Xbox will finally get a real anime app : ). I was excited for Manga but that app was a huge let down it only has like 14 shows on it all of which i think suck.

Two things...

A Sainsbury app?! you can do your weekly shop from your Xbox 360?!

and secondly they're ommiting a Karaoke app from Japan :| thats just about the only country Karaoke is popular.

Great. Give us Canadians CBC's Hockey Night the year of the NHL lockout.

and here is the reason why 60 bucks a year is worth it.... because as long as I pay I know new stuff are coming because MS can argue a strong case in front of their potential commercial partners which is not the case of the other.... the only reason a few of them port to PS or Wii is because they don't wanna lock out some of their customers.... but that's true only for the very big names like hulu, Netflix etc.... the other ones like cable and sat provider, niche networks, websites, have way less incentive to do anything for the other 2 from a commercial sand point....

As happy as I am that Xbox is getting apps, you can't use that as an argument really. A good majority of these apps need additional subscriptions, ones I could pay elsewhere without having to spend the $60 a year that Xbox Live cost.

No Crunchyroll?  That's strange, I wonder why not.  I thought everything had a CR app by now.

yet those service do not come on other platform.... my argument is commercial..... not customer oriented... I'm saying other commercial entities are more likely to sign up with MS because of the economic profile of XBL gold system.....

the point being to have the box as the media center of the house.... this to prep for the next step next gen I'm pretty sure.... where you might see 3rd or even 4th tier subscription.... like one bill to rule them all.... phone/tv/streaming service/games on demand/vod etc...

you'll probably never see that on the other platform.... and that's because their service is not built that way... it is built for gamers with some extra goodies but the aim is not to replace other device especially for sony that has an entire hardware division to support outside PS....

1 whole App coming here specifically and it's a football App.... fuck you MS.

In that list there are 6 Apps that state they will be available in the UK and another 3 that will be released in "the majority of Xbox Live regions" so we can also assume that they too will be available in the UK.
