Congratulations2u Wii-U. Expected this, was almost impossible for it to have a better launch lineup in Japan (I suppose an actual Animal Crossing game, but Mario + MonHun + Dragon Quest beta is insane). But still, very nice numbers.

Reckon Japan is gonna prop up the worldwide sales for the console to be honest and keep it at a decent rate. Europe letting the side down.

Also, slightly off topic but: jesus christ at those PS2 & GBA launch numbers.

It's true. They have some great gaming communities over there.

However, their overall self-entitlement and their tendency for hyperbole hurt my head.

300k+ seems fine to me and my question has already benn answered monster hunter was the only bundle,how many did they have of those do you think,surely that would sell whatever they put out,it is a brand new monster hunter right

I'm not sure why everybody likes to compare launch numbers so much. Hardware launches are all about supply, not demand. Initial launches will always sell out (with the exception of handhelds) and you won't really get an idea of how the system will perform until after the system has been on the market for about a year.
