Week or 2 ago, Suda, creator of NMH and Killer 7, said that Wii third party software wasn't selling as well as he'd expected because the system was built and designed by Nintendo for a more casual gamer.
I disagreed, as I've seen sales of nearly all quality, advertised 3rd party games do well, with the exception being Zack and Wiki.
We've seen Guitar Hero 3 outpace the 360 version, all games with Resident Evil in the title, do well, Trauma Center and Raving Rabbids also sold well.
Anyway, Suda has retracted his comments, claiming they have been misinterpreted.
This is the statement, or as close as I can get too it, and this is from the link as well, you would be better to investigate it there:
I am concerned to learn my comments in one interview regarding the success of Nintendo 3rd part titles have been misinterpreted. My point was that "NO MORE HEROES", unlike a lot of Nintendo Wii titles currently available is the kind of product which will attract a different kind of consumer to the hardware. ie. gamers who are looking for a different genre to the products which have been successful on this platform thus far.
So, I'm guessing that the article was translated harshly(as it seemed when I first read it). It wasn't something that anyone interested in keeping good relations with a gaming company would say.
So, what I believe, is that Suda used very careful wording in his japanese interview to edge around what he was trying to say. In the translation, they just came right out and said it, with no finesse, and now its damage control.
I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.
