I'm pretty sure this game is set in Haiti or some Central American country...not Africa...but the point remains...I think it would be racist to not have locals in their own country...it would be acknowledging their race and changing it...that's like reverse racism or something.

If there's a Japanese movie, we can't just throw a bunch of European whites, blacks, hispanics, etc into an Asian environment and pretend they belong there...just like we can't throw a bunch of non-black people into Africa or wherever this game is set.

RE5 is not racist. The outbreak is in Africa. Who knows maybe it breaks out to South Africa and gets the white people too. Racism is not only about Blacks etc Whites can get discriminated against as well.

RE5 is not racist as the RE series is consistent in its treatment of zombies and other zombie-like creatures regardless of their skin color.

Those saying RE5 is racist are the racist ones.

Racism is treating people unequally based on the color of their skin.

Based on the lack of outrage from the people calling RE5 racist when RE1,2,3,CV,0,4... came out they seem to have no problem killing white zombies (with the odd black zombie thrown in for good measure).

They are outraged about the killing of black zombies.

Therefore they are not treating the black zombies in the same way as the white zombies based solely on the color of their skin.

QED, they are racists.

Now, if instead of saying "this game is racist" they raised concerns that it might generate more racism they would have a better point though its validity would still be very debatable (it would be more of a concern with young impressionable children but they are way under the age limit for this game so the point is moot) but it would at least be worth discussing.

On topic, we need more black main characters in video game (it will be great if one of the main character in RE5 is black - man or woman)
