Wii U was a much needed upgrade for Nintendo. Now Nintendo can release multi-platform games on the Wii U that are on par or above the quality of the PS3 and X360. Wii sales have been lagging for a couple of years and the Wii U kicks off the 8th generation console sales wars.

well it's 8th gen so it would have 100% market share so no reason to really do that yet

And that's not taking into account last weeks sales for EU and NA, the week ending in the 8th, or 9th or whatever ^^

I beat that Wii U will have ramped up 1.100k-1.200k by now, perhaps as much as 1.300k pending on EU... I guess we'll have to wait and see til next weekend
