Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Black Ops 2 Bomba On Wii U

From NeoGaf's November NPD thread, Pachter said BLOPS2 had a 5% attach rate with the Wii U per NPD:

Call of Duty Wii U attach rate was 5%, said by someone on VGA pre-show.

5% of 425k = 21k

Wow those are some pretty low sales. No wonder it's so dead in the online community.

The attach rate is below 7% on the PS3...

I'm sure people expected about 100kish but...that was unrealistic.

Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. "  thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."

Assassin's Creed 3 is even lower, I'm probably guessing maybe 10k-15k for AC3. Yikes.

well considering COD has probably about 1% attach rate on Wii, then this is 5x better lol.

Just for reference, Call of Duty on Wii in November 2006 apparently sold 48k, so more than double the Wii U version.

Is anyone really surprised? Most of the COD gamers who bought the Wii U probably already own 360s, and for everyone else, well, why buy COD when you can get Mario?

How come vgchartz says 51k and Neogaf says 21k. I'm beyond lost

And this is why Third parties will never want to support the wiiU.

Nintendo has A class first party support though.

I knew when I saw the title that this was a Soundwave thread...

VGC has BO2 for WiiU at 90,000+ global (NA) for the first week; WiiU install base was 460,000+ global (NA) for the first week, giving BO2 a near 20% attach rate on WiiU.

We don't know how much it's dropped off yet in week two as that data isn't up yet, but unless the Chartz have it severely overtracked, it sold far more copies in its first week alone than the 21k you claim in the OP.

Two Wii U doom threads in the space of three hours. If I didn't know better, Soundwave, I'd guess you were enjoying this.
