I don't quite understand the love Half-Life 2 gets, but I do think the ending was really cool...
And I found the voice acting to be really good...
Portal was the game that made me love Valve...

Terrible list of nominees (save for a handful), but I have no problem with Half-Life 2 winning the award. One of the very few FPS games I really like.

Portal would've been a much cooler winner, though.

Great choice!!! I first had this on the original Xbox and beat it 4 times. Then I got the Orange Box and played it for a massive amount of time. Innovative graphics, story, and AI IMO!
