Not surprised and well-deserved. Virtually every FPS game since has taken influence from Half-Life 2 and even today, few games have made such believable characters.

i gotta say it really should of been wow. Ive never played wow myself and am definitely not a fan but game of the decade should go to the one that has had the most impact and the most success hence the title of the award. the whole genre cant be mentioned without thinking of wow. And in my opinion half life 2 looks boring as hell

You got to be messing with me if that is incredible AI because it commonly agree that is a rbem with HL2

Read again. If Half-Life 2 is the worst AI you've seen, then the AI in the games you've played must be incredible.

The AI in Half-Life 2 is average at worst. To be honest, I can only think of a few games in the genre with clearly better AI. The rest are about the same level.
