Bullshit. The only game who would have deserved this award would be World of Warcraft. It's the only game that was consistently relevant during the last decade and shaped a whole genre, for better or worse.. I'm pretty sure the few rabbid Gaben worshippers found a way to rig this shit.

I am very disappointed. I tried playing Half Life 2, back when my cousin had the orange box bundle and i didn't make it very far. I just didn't like it at all, but according to all the talk and hype surrounding it and episode 3(?) I'm gonna have to give it another try.

Subjective. The longevity of World of Warcraft doesn't compensate for the lack of quality compared to the overall experience of Half-Life 2, for many. I can't say I disagree.
