Forums - Gaming Discussion - Why does it seem like the vita is getting more games than the 3ds?

because it is getting more games that the 3ds...

Vita has no games.. (Almost 100 games in its first year)... But has no games.
I have no idea why it's panned out like this tbh but it's a good time to own a Vita ;)

Because NoA doesn't want to sell.

Every time i look at the vita thread there is a new announcement, game, dlc, etc. How can a sytem that is struggling so bad get more dev. business than the 3DS? Does sony have some hold on devs? Does not seem like something they would do.

It has more games, simple as that. The problem is the price of the system but once sony fixes that, it should sell a bit more.

I'm a little confused about the OP.

Vita has about 50.
3DS has about 150.

Are we talking announced games for 2013?

Maybe it's because they celebrate every single obscure niche game even if it hasn't any chance of releasing outside of japan. I don't care for games like Senran Kagura on either platform but it is very funny how the shinovi game is treated as the second coming of our big busted lord jesus christ around here. Also, the amount of PS3 down ports should ring some alarm bells, considering Sony's self proclaimed target audience is PS3 gamers. Why should they make the jump for games they can already play on their home console?

There is still only Soul Sacrifice and Killzone that interest me on the PSV no matter how much the rest gets hyped.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

i wish sony made a big announcement for vita.. thatd be really nice. i have a vita and no idea what ill be playing next year.

I don't think it is only depending on the price. it's two big factors:
- 3DS has a selling point, the 3D. Even if it's nearly useless on the go (i have one and only play it at home). the vita not.
- bad word of mouth. the vita got flamed in its first year, and casuals don't inform theirselves. i was playing in a bus and some teens were talking about my vita and lold hard what games i could play on it and that his galaxy note has so much better games... and i was playing assassins creed.

that's two big factors, of course the pricetag is one big another factor. pricetag will be fixed. word of mouth needs ages to change. selling point won't change.

must-have-list for platforms i don't own yet:

WiiU: Donkey Kong

XBone: Dead Rising 3, Ryse

Someone once told me that Sony has every right to make money off of their stuff. Like selling PSV memory at a hefty price and is the right decision. Why should they cut the price of PSV when they are already losing money on it?
