Forums - Gaming Discussion - Pachter: Activision to buy Take-Two, Nintendo becoming "completely irrelevant"

The best thing to say about Pachter's 'predictions' is to just wait and see. He's been proven wrong many a time before.

Around the Network

“I think you're going to see now with the Wii U, notwithstanding its early launch support, nobody's going to support it,” Pachter claimed.

Well, if the behind the scenes rumors we heard last week about next gen/E3 are true in part, Nintendo has a particular, "partnership that will cause huge shocks when it’s announced even worse than Bayonetta 2".  Seeing as how the WiiU is set to dominate the console space in Japan (my opinion) and that controller is a perfect fit for RPGs...

Let's just say that Pachter is being presumptuous (big surprise, I know) with his statement of nobody supporting WiiU.

Why do we pay any attention to this guy? I feel like it would be best just to ignore him.

My knee-jerk reaction was to say "who cares?!", but I take it back. It's actually a semi-interesting talk. I find it fascinating at the deep level of analysis that Wall Street runs on.

Nintendo will still be Nintendo.

Best prediction ever.

he also gets paid by web clicks so, good for him

pachter is the biggest idiot in the industry and he is not even a game developer

:( He's a typical troll. The Hard drive argument, really? I stopped reading right there.

Gave him an honest chance, really.

usually the opposite of pachters predictions happens

For a frame of reference, how often exactly has Pachter been right about anything? Seriously I always see stuff by this guy, and I never bother to look back to see if he's right.
