its pretty cool imo

Not exactly what I was expecting after reading the title..
..but oh well, it's still in developement. Looks promising.

The work done is trivial. With an engine, basic and ugly looking sprite placement is easy and the battle system shown could be hacked together in under a day.

The team needs:

- serious, committed programmers, because the Pokemon battle system is EXTREMELY complicated, I have tried programming one myself and got further than this guy but was screwed by small structural bugs affecting effect order on moves.
- artists and musicians. ripped graphics and music are not going to pass, and the current UI looks amateurish and not fun
- game and level designers who don't make miles of empty field that one walks through at a snail's pace. Pokemon is good because of very tight design work, not just because they threw some test maps together

Basically with a programmer's eye this is utterly worthless.

From what I know of fangames, do not expect improvement from the state of the first video and do expect the thing to fall apart as soon as school/life interferes.
