They should make online multiplayer exclusive to PS+!

Oh my, Turkish has been trolling us all along.

This clearly shows he doesn't like Playstation and more importantly, us fans.

No, it can't really be Turkish. He would never say something like that...

But more importantly, the real Turkish would never make a functional poll!

@OP

WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH TURKISH????

My contract with Sony literally ran out a few minutes ago, I'm now on MS payroll LOL

And you thought the Ms fans attacked you before? You ain't seen nothing yet.

PS fans outnumber them by at least 100:1.

Youre doomed now. Better start running.

What side are you on Euphoria? Please don't attack me :(

It's a great service, and when I upgrade to a 500gb hard drive later this year I will take advantage of it.

That's the good thing about competition. As MS is earning lots of money for nothing with online gaming Sony is trying to get into this business and has to offer more to convince people to use ps+.And the deal is really great, especially for people who just started with the ps3,they will get tons of games in a year for only 15cents a day.
I started with ps+ just because of the online saving cloud, because this rrodylod generation destroyed my save games several times and I thought that the games will be crap but ps+ will save my save games .I was wrong.I got so many great games this year and for another 12euro one year music unlimited.
And 360 owners may also benefit. When people start to complain and demand something equal microsoft must react.

It really makes me wonder how this service is even profitable for Sony.
I like free stuff, but how is paying a chump change (compared to provided value) for it can be sustainable? I just feel that they won't keep it going for long.

EDIT: I can only imagine people buying DLC for provided games....but how many are doing that anyway?

every ps+ card is profitable. Developers give sony their old games for free so when people download it and if they love that game, they probably will buy dlc for that game and its a quick buck for the developers.

Example: Borderlands 1. Borderlands 1 game and dlc was on the top 10 most downloaded for the month of September. Whatever dlc that people bought is a quick profit for Gearbox software

Well as suspected no actual PS+ totals revealed.

One thing that has me puzzled is how Sony makes it work. For $50 you get an insane amount of digital content.

i think it's just the pure amount of money and not from every single person. as example, let's say sony has 10 million people paying for that only because of this content and they get maybe 30 dollars on average per year, that would make 300 million. if they would now give every developer putting the game on psn "for free" 1 million, that could be enough for many (it's not as if many of those people would still buy those games so there isn't much loss to expect for those games saleswise)

now those numbers are just an example and will be super wrong but it should make clear how it could work. sony could still make money with it even if they have to pay many developers a lot of money for all games together. and they will probably also sell some consoles with this system and take them away from potential xbox/wii u customers.

it's like those humble bundles or something, the amount of buyers/subscribers is where the money comes from for sony and the developers.

You should see the blog, on EU most months is people complaining the US get better stuff, that they get more stuff, that they get the content at start of month (in EU they try and drag it out across the month to make it look like getting more), lot of people dislike getting retail games especially the really popular ones because likely already played them, and nobody likes when they put up 15GB+ games.  Plus been quite a number of cock-ups in regards to promotions for subscribers and it taking months to fix.

Yeah you see that sort of behavior for everything. I wouldn't construe complaining as total dissatisfaction with a service though. Look on the mainpage at the new Sony numbers thread, a huge portion of the vgchartz community is venting their displeasure about the tracking on this site. Ask the community as a whole if they like the site though, I'd imagine the satisfaction figure would be quite high.

You see complaining on youtube, netflix, xbox live, PSN etc.

With the internet providing a soapbox, there will always be negative outcry about services, free or otherwise.

You know.. I've had a one year subscription so I'll use my psn account as an example:

$50 - 1 year plus 3 months
$17.99 - 3 months
$17.99 - 3 months

so in total.. I have given sony about 86 bucks, if users keep re subscribing to ps plus they'll make a load of money
