Or it could be as simple as a majority of those PS3 exclusives are simply not appealing franchises to most people. MS has big guns sales wise like Halo, Forza, Fable, and Gears. Sony has big guns sales wise like GT, Uncharted, LBP, and God of War. Both companies sprinkle in other franchises that don't sell nearly as much. Do you think Resistance 3 sold way less than Resistance 2 which sold way less than Resistance 1 because Sony gamers were struggling to choose between it and God of War 3 or is there just a dwindling interest in a franchise that only became a huge seller because it launched with the system?
There's also XBLA to consider. MS puts way way more emphasis on putting AAA quality titles on there than Sony does their own network.
