I myself am a moderator on an already established and large forum where the spamming is nearly non-existant compared to this site. However we do still get a fair amount and simply delete such post's, if all they add for example is lol, lmao etc..... Serial offenders are given warnings, have their posting abilities removed, suspensions and if after around 7-10 suspensions they haven`t learned their lesson they are banned. Leo-j for example would be long gone, as not only does he spam but would break just about every other rule we have. I hav.e been a long-time viewer and only recent member of this site and have been shocked by his behaviour and attitude, although I feel its simple immaturity.

I would say that members of this site have it relatively easy if they only get banned for a day or two for spamming and other rule breaches. I see no problem with putting a stop to one-word posting. A site admin and the mods have the right to enforce the rules as they see fit.

The ban stick is pulled out far to often for the most ridiculous reasons, I'm sick of seeing so many people banned on here, peoples spam threads arn't getting in the way of everyone enjoying the site, fair enough if their like Leo-j's sure, ban.

But hell, I've never seen a site with so many bans being given out.

You keep banning someone too much or ban them for a pathetic reason they'll just go somewhere else on the internet to post, we/I don't want that, this place is supposed to be fun, but these days it seems like we all have to walk in a straight line and if we syn out a little we get whipped.

Everyone screws up, but people that get banned repeatedly get banned for a reason. If they go to another forum, that's great. Maybe they will be better members there from their lessons here. People that get banned repeatedly do not help attract new users, they run them off. I hardly ever go to the GameFaqs forums any more. I don't even touch the 1UP forums and will never look back. So if they do leave, then it's to the benefit of the site.

The mods have been going way easy on everyone, so that makes it even more ridiculous when people are saying they're handing out nit-picky bans. Just look at the reaction that happened in this thread, when a mod was giving fair warning to people that shouldn't need a warning thread in the first place. He didn't have to do that, but was trying to be a nice guy about.

Yeah, what if we want to bump threads because people didn't notice. What do we post then?

Additional stuff that gives more substance to the topic at hand. Have you ever thought about the kimpossibility that people ignore your threads because they lack substance and/or are pointless?

I stopped reading after kimpossibility.  That was hilarious.

i dont know---but it is a good point to ask how leo-j can still get away with so much

What does Leo-j get away with? He's been banned over 10 times! That doesn't seem like getting away with shit to me. Ckmlb, Neos, Lost Tears of Kane are the people that get away with everything.
