A very interesting fun-fact. Seeing these software trends is fascinating, especially this late in the gen.

Iv'e only included games over 70 on metacritic to only showcase quality offerings.

EDIT: The Sony camp has requested I also include games rated below 70. So be it. We shall see if Halo 4 can outsell that as well :) This thread just became a lot more interesting!

So?

In terms of cost to Sony/M$, Halo 4 will have cost more than all of them combined

And overall software sales matter just as much, I guess they do favour 360 over PS3

Well, you are forgetting that Halo is a huge franchise. Also, you haven't included God of War Saga and don't forget the upcoming PSASBR.

So this is Halo4 v PS3 exclusives that have been released in 2012?

Not surprising given the quality of the ps3 exclusives recently. They have had some sales dogs this year.

Okami should not be on the list since it is not an exclusive and not released on disc in the west

God of War Saga a 2012 offering? If so then ill add it.

Battle Royale and Ratchet and clank will be added when data is available.

yep, 2012 was a horrible year for PS3 exclusives.

Top 5 responses from different users to Sonys forecast to ship only 5 million PS Vita and PSP combined for the entire year:

No. 5: "They probably prefer lower sales rather than makes losses" by Somini

I doubt that. Many of these games had a semi high budget. Not to mention salaries for all the employees for each game that probably took 1-2 years to make.
