They are sleep inducing, overwhelmingly boring, mind-numbing and I think I always lose a couple of neurons whenever I think about them.
Seriously, they are as exciting as a Sleeping Simulator.
Troll-ish thread, but I can't be the only one who feels like that, am I?

That's basically like saying, "Why fight about which HD-console is superior when both of them ultimately feature nothing but bad games?"
Just saying, I wouldn't go around and question why people compare curling teams even though curling obviously is the most sleep inducing "sport" known to man.

Well, some people are into car sim games. I am not one of them. I tried to like both Forza and Gran Turismo, but it wasn't doing anything for me.

I respect your opinion, but I find both FM4 and GT5 to be exhilarating experiences. But to the point of why fight, there seems to be this illogical debate that by liking one game that means another game must suck, this is prevalent across all genre types, and it is perpetuated by the self-entitled, dull fanboy (it's a petulant, childish mentality that is saying, my toys are better than yours). A far different debate is when Digital Foundry does a face-off, these are the comparison of game types based on an objective analysis, they can be very helpful in choosing which game to buy for which console. I for one am not interested in limiting the scope of my video game entertainment, quite the opposite actually.

I'm not sure why people have to belittle one if they like the other. Makes no sense to me. I'm a big fan of Gran Turismo, I have all of them back to the very first game, but I have nothing against Forza. I'm sure I'd love it if I had an Xbox.
There is simply no reason to fight about two games that are console exclusives.
I feel the same way about Smash Brothers and Playstation All-Stars. Neither one is a direct competitor of the other so there really is no reason for people to get upset over the whole deal. It's silly and meaningless. Personally, I'd rather play GT or Forza than either one of those but I know that people have different tastes so it's no big deal.

You already answered your question. Because they're so boring to play you come in the forums to fight about them.
The same for sports, so boring to watch you need to put down the other team to get some enjoyment.

Huh. That seems like something I'd might say if I forgot Batman existed and was slightly inebriated. Or maybe if I was Rol...

Outside of Harvest moon, I Cant stand simulator games. SONY Needs to consider a Gran Turismo with weapons.

Oh but they do have weapons. Both come with bull shot generators, ammo for forum wars.
