It is hard to be impressed by Hulu+ interface.  The PS3 Hulu+ UI isn't too bad but the Wii one wasn't that great.  Can it get worse than Hulu+ on Wii?  Not sure but I guess I'll find out now.  Hulu not being supported on gamepad play doesn't surprise me.

Yep but first month is free.  Also, if you threaten to quit they seem to give out some free months.  I've gotten 2 free months so far from Hulu.  Netflix doesn't give out any free month if you quit/threaten to quit.

After looking at the interface it looks like the PS3 Hulu+. I don't see anything different. So if anything Hulu is to blame for the poor design. I believe Netflix on Wii had a better design than Wii U Netflix considering it doesn't even show you what episode you are about to load on Wii U Netflix (unless you click on expand button). At least on Wii you clicked on it and it showed you what you were about to load (not just loading without knowing till you load it).

I don't really have hulu plus personally, when I did the tutorial video tough, I was able to bring the video to my gamepad just fine, maybe it's different once you are in the app.
