New Super Mario Bros. U

Nintendo Land

Mario Party

Mario Kart

The Legend of Zelda

Super Smash Brothers

It is up to you whether you want to ignore these (and many other upcoming) single- and multiplayer experiences. If you truly love your girlfriend though, there are no options.

I will add at least oen sports game to this list.

Apprently MADDEN 2013 has ported over well (so YAY for me)

Now I hope FIFA 2013 is good as well.

Yeah, I only picked some exclusive titles. All decent ports from third parties should be awesome/superior with the new controller.

If you live with someone else I would say it's worth it only because you can still play your games even when someone is using the TV. For that reason alone the Wii U is worth it.

So she likes Mario Kart. You could get a deluxe for her because she probably would enjoy NintendoLand. Perhaps pick up NSMB2 for her too. If Nintendo drops Mario Kart next fall then I feel bad for whatever system is launching during next holiday season.

Hardware and software sales speaks for themselves. On another note, the ones who should be nervous are the ones who lack innovation.

Haven't read anything but the title.

I'm going to say that after spending much of the day playing with my Wii U when I should have been sleeping, the Wii U doesn't replace your PS3 (or 360 if you have one). It doesn't do a lot of things that they do, yet. At the same time, there's a substantial amount of things that the Wii U does that neither the PS3 or 360 do, as well. I think that, like the Wii before it, the Wii U compliments the experience. This time, it packs a lot of power, as well. I'm impressed by it.

If this makes any sense, I say buy it. Just don't be one of those guys that says "Wii U can't do this", "Wii U can't do that". It's a sweet piece of hardware and deserves a spot on your shelf.
