wha tis the point of having graphics liek that next gen when they couldn't even get the physics right.

Did anyone else notice the turtle that climbed the bank with it's back legs floating? Clearly the IQ of that turtle suffered for polygon counts.

That is bad modding.  There is a ton more examples of PC graphics.  This is just to show a technical photo realitic mod.

so basically we aren't allowed to be impressed by or discuss 360/ps3 graphics because the pc is more powerful

for the record i've always acknowledged that the pc will always have better visuals than consoles, however, that doesn't mean i can't be impressed by consoles

just like i acknowledge that ferraris and lamborghinis are superior to the laser i drive occasionally but i still find it impressive in terms of performance

No people want to compare graphics well here you go then.  I'm tired of seeing threads about this kind of stuff.  Halo and forza thread just a few days ago which apparently makes the 360 a magical beast and then you have motion capturing on the ps3 and beyond and apparently nothing tops either one.  If people want to be annoying about graphics and senial then I can do the same thing.

But you expose your own sensitivities when you create a topic like this. All it does is open up a point-and-laugh environment, not securing the results your were seeking.

This is, as I said in the previous thread, while I agree with your overall point.

i'm laughing at you.  i saw your posts in that BEYOND thread.  i think you forget you're on a forum.  don't like talk?!?  ..then get off this forum and go sit yourself in the corner of your home where no one can bother you with things like discussion and opinions.  but making condescending threads like this only serve to make me dislike you.

One thing though, the people who are adoring the graphics of the PS3 and 360 are obviously comparing them with themselves. I don't understand why people need to bring the PC in every graphics topic. Obviously, it is common knowledge that even the average gaming PC nowadays can produce better graphics than the HD twins. However, the point of the thread that inspired you to create this was not to say that the PS3 is this graphics powerhouse, rather it was to say that for a 6 year old machine, it is incredible that the PS3 can create such impressive visuals.

This thread is kind of like some sales discussions. If people marvel over the sales of the PS3 in its 6th year, then someone making a post saying "Ha! The Wii has sold 97 million and is leagues ahead of the PS3. It is pointless to marvel over its sales when there is another console that has sold 30 million more than it" has no merit and adds nothing to the discussion. The people are appreciating the sales (or in this case, graphics) of the console itself, not in relation to something that everyone knows as common knowledge is already better/ahead.

No I think Beyond looks like a great game but it is using Motion capture and when  I told you all that it is not gameplay everybody freaked.

oh maybe I should just shout Jelly? every two minutes in this thread like the guys in that thread

You're not getting the point. People weren't comparing it to the PC, they were simply saying how good the game looks for a PS3 game. Like in my example, if people say "Amazing, 360 has sold 70 million", then your response would be "And the Wii has sold 97 million, I don't get why people are holding the 360 to such high standards. I'm annoyed by this and will make a thread telling people that the Wii has sold 97 million, even though that is already common knowledge".
