Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Wiiu Gamepad Supports Voice Chat
| Cheebee said: Awesome. They should tell IGN. They made a pretty big deal out of WiiU not being able to use the Gamepad's mic iirc. |
I made the video myself and i've been trying to get IGN to notice and post a correction. No luck so far.

The way they do it is awesome. There would be annoying background noise if they didn't force the earphones.
Problem for me is that the Pro controller doesn't support voice chat.

Yeah that's too bad. I'm hoping there is a solution for this eventually.

I bought a pro-controller, but now I'm thinking I shouldn't have. The gamepad has the same buttons and really its better to play with that with the TV off even.

THere are two. Just use the gamepad only or just put the gamepad on the table near your couch in its charging cradle. Not really an issue as any headset of quality will likely have a decent cord length too.

I'm definitely going to prefer the GamePad for single-player experiences, but I was hoping for a good multiplayer voice chat solution as well. The Pro controller doesn't even have a headphone jack (unlike the GamePad).
