Sorry to hear about that. I had no issue with my setup, except that my old (circa 2006) HDTV does not agree with WiiU, so the corners of the screen are cut off. I can look at the U Pad to see how it *should* look, then at the TV to how it ends up looking

Tomorrow i'm going to sift through two other TVs i own to see if any one of them does a better job.

Pics? Just intrigued to see just what you mean by 'corners cut off'...

This is what it *should* look like

This is about what i'm getting.

Did the Wii U auto-setup the display settings? I've seen in a stream that it says that you can manually change the settings to another format if it doesn't fit. This looks like the Wii U accidently set the output to 16:9 on a 4:3 screen....

High-definition forces 16:9. I can't put it in 4:3 unless i want to put it in a lower resolution.

Around the Network

Fixed it somewhat, as i moved to one of my other TVs (turned out the 2008 TV is HDMI compatible), now i'm getting about 95% of the whole image, enough to see everything i should be seeing (using NSMBU as a metric: score, timer, Mario's lives, star coins, and the zoom buttons on the bottom of the Miiverse screen)

Good enough for me. Now we can get to playing.

Congratulations to fixing it! That must have been quite frustrating, but instead of a omega level breakdown and rant, you fixed it. And glad they had one for you to swap out.

Are you going post some reviews of your games?

ps And I am sure my invitation was lost in the mail... ;0 (sob)

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.
