Did you waste a Gamestop warranty with that return? I didn't bother getting one through them.

If it's the same as the UK then all electronics have a 48 hour warranty if youhave the receipt due to faults. So unlikely.

First time he asked: No thank you.

After coming back: Heck yeah.

I'm amazed they took that system back without one through them.  I bought the phat DS along time ago at Gamestop across my street when I was going to college.  I brought it home and the touch screen had a dent in it and it was damage/not working.  I went back to Gamestop while on the phone with a Nintendo customer rep to "show them" that I just purchased the system (I could have been lying I suppose but I wasn't).  The Gamestop guy pretty much informed me that if I got the warranty on the system through them then it would have been wasted right away and they would have given me another system (but I would then have to purchase another warranty for that one or something like that).  Pretty much I just sent it into Nintendo and they sent me another one for free.

Ah I just typed a semi long story about an old DS phat in my previous post.  I suppose they might have changed the policy or the person that told me that wasn't telling the whole truth.

Believe me, I was surprised as well... especially on a launch day where consoles are very limited.

But though all these trials, I have come out stronger. Huzzah!

Don't look at the Official VGC Wii U Friend Thread..  Looks like we got another problem!

Sorry to hear about that. I had no issue with my setup, except that my old (circa 2006) HDTV does not agree with WiiU, so the corners of the screen are cut off. I can look at the U Pad to see how it *should* look, then at the TV to how it ends up looking

Tomorrow i'm going to sift through two other TVs i own to see if any one of them does a better job.

Did the Wii U auto-setup the display settings? I've seen in a stream that it says that you can manually change the settings to another format if it doesn't fit. This looks like the Wii U accidently set the output to 16:9 on a 4:3 screen....

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.
