I picked up a basic Wii U from Best Buy today which was not the one I  wanted, but not after alot of trouble from frys.

I called frys and was happy to know that they had 9 Wii Us left. I rushed down there immediately to get one. I told the guy at the counter I  was lookin for the Delux bundle and he gave me the green light. I got my reciept and took it the register to get my goods. The guy at counter seemed really confused ay my order, He says he will be back with console . He comes back up ith just a console and hes like, " This is just the console got to go get the games and stuff" and I was like okay....wait! WTF!? Since hen does a bundle not come with everything in the box? He comes back up with a black Wiimote/nunchuck, My Wii U s white, Mario and Nintendoland  and to top it off the Wii U is the 8GB and tells me the price is $487.00!!!.  I was like what's going on? This is not the delux bundle at all. I take the reciept and the delux bundle has the controller added to the the recipet it  not rang up as a bundle!!! So me and him both go see the guy at the counter. I tell hinthis not the deu=lux bundel that advertised and he says he knows he ran out of the real delux. 

What they decided to do was create there own Delux bundele!!! and they refused to sell the standard alone. They had the standard wii U with a mix matched nun chuck mario and Nintendo land for 487!!!!9 NO TAX YET.   The reason the guy at the counter was confused because he realized all that stuff as not actully part of the Wii U. It was basically the console with the games at nunchuck/wiimote marked don slightly.m very annoyed because I gave my mom the okay to let the delux  she found go. I was like fuck you guys. Your ripping us off and the families behind me were like screw that were not gettin it either.

Now I got the 8GB. Anything important im missiing that I cant get later on? and I  was right to say to turn that down right? * A piece of me wanted it but was that over 100 more woth it?*

got mine from bestbuy at 10AM, no problems, that's why I don't shop fry's

This is what you're missing out on:

i work at best buy, never been to a frys, but 1. thats how these silly retails are becoming, that's ridiculous, dishonest and unprofessional. 2. im sure the manger instructed them to bulk up the standards and ''upsell'', but sheesh, at least mention it up front, why lie!?
3. im posting from wiiu gamepad, browser is awesome, better than my 3yr old netbook and 4g verizon phone.

The basic version is mainly just missing the stands/cradle, NintendoLand, 8GB instead of 32GB, and the 10 percent off eshop purchases till Dec 31, 2014

You are going to put a 1 or 2 TB external USB hard drive on that though right?  So lack of a few GBs isn't that big of deal.  I probably won't even use an external hard drive for awhile since I don't plan on buying full Wii U games from the eshop (I have the 32GB black version).  I plan on mainly just getting Ware and VC titles which usually don't take up that much space.
