Damn right I have one! It's been my favorite console this year. Barely played my Wii at all, not much Xbox 360 either, but plenty of Vita, 3DS and PS3 gaming, in that order. This is the set of retail games I have or have pre-ordered.

1 - Assassin's Creed III: Liberation
2 - Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention
3 - Gravity Rush
4 - LittleBigPlanet Vita
5 - Little Deviants
6 - MLB 12 The Show
7 - ModNation Racers: Road Trip
8 - Mortal Kombat
9 - Persona 4: The Golden
10 - Ragnarok Odyssey
11 - Rayman Origins
12 - Resistance: Burning Skies
13 - Uncharted: Golden Abyss
14 - Unit 13
15 - Wipeout 2048

Also getting Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale and any other games I can get for cheap. I'm also a fan of the Downloads:

1 - MotorStorm RC
2 - Puddle
3 - Retro City Rampage
4 - Sound Shapes
5 - Sumioni: Demon Arts
6 - Super Stardust Delta
7 - Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack
8 - Treasures of Montezuma Blitz

So yes, I'm loving the system. Also getting Ratchet and Clank for it, Full Frontal Assault.

My Console Library:

PS5, Switch, XSX

PS4, PS3, PS2, PS1, WiiU, Wii, GCN, N64 SNES, XBO, 360

3DS, DS, GBA, Vita, PSP, Android

Nope, for a variety of reasons:

- Not really a fan of Sony's games

- Too much money

- I don't do handheld gaming nearly as much as I used to. I'm a Nintendo fan and I don't even plan on getting a 3DS

- My Nexus 7 now covers all the handheld gaming I'll ever need, between the android app store and emulation.

You asked, so I will tell.. Handheld gaming sucks big time. Horrid.

If I have a little bit of time to kill and am on the go, I do something on my Galaxy SIII. But for real gaming, there is no substitute to console gaming. The quality is unrivaled by any handheld devices.

I usally buy handhelds for the japnaese games after this tgs i decided to stick with the psp more. I will grab one eventually but im not seeing a lot of what i want.

To be completely honest, I've only ever had Nintendo handhelds (Gameboy, Gameboy Advance, DS, and 3DS - No Virtual Boy though lol).  Every once in a while a game would come out for PSP that I would say to myself, that looks cool/I'd like to play that.  Someone I used to work with even offered to sell me one for $50, and I almost took him up on it.  But, I already had a Nintendo DS and I was happy with it.  And, speaking for myself, I only need one handheld.  Same with the new generation of handhelds.  I already own a 3DS and am beyond happy with it.  I already have more games for it than I can dedicate time to playing, so owning another system/another library of games (and spending $250 on a portable + games) isn't in the cards for me.  That has nothing to do with Sony and everything to do with myself/preferences/circumstances.  Consoles, I always have at least 2 per generation (sometimes 3 if they are competitively priced).  But for handhelds, I'm good with one.

I usually just play console or some PC games, when I occasionally need handheld gaming my psp does the job fine.

Unless a bunch of exclusive JRPGs come along that are 70+ metacritic then I will not be buying one.

I'm not interested in watered down console ports or quirky original puzzley type games that the Vita is currently receiving. I've played those quirky games on my PSP and good as they are, they aren't worth the investment on the Vita in different forms imo.

I don't really see a market for the Vita at the current time with it's current lineup of games, for me at least. I also doubt if long term support can be maintained. That situation will be clearer Q1 2013.

Is one at 94 good enough?

I was really tempted to buy a Vita bundled with a memory card and Assassin's Creed for $250. Later I saw a review for that game and it didn't look particularly great. Frankly, all the Vita games that seemed like potential "killer apps" have been disappointing.

I have a 3DS and I still use my GBA and PSP. So I got plenty on my backlog already and lack luster software isn't motivating me to get a Vita.

Very good thread.

But the poll is a bit wrong. It should allow multiple answer as there can be more than one reason.

I ended up just selecting the conclusion, wich is its a dieing system so it a very high risk buy atm.

The real reasons are that 1. I got a 3DS and a PSP this year. 2. Price is too high for a handheld 3. Due to lack of support, i see lack of games. Conclusion: Too pricey, and bad sales make it a risky purchase.
Personally i would like to get a few games for it, but i dont want to buy a system for 3 games, even if it drops in price. The good thing about the 3DS is even if not many titles that i want come out for it this year, i know that theres alot more coming in the future that will make it even more worth it (unnanounced ones). Its that hidden potencial that is the Vita's biggest problem. Its a problem born out of Sony's incapability to drop the price and increase sales while they could. Now, its too late. Everyone admits to it beeing dead (who isnt a fanboy).
