Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Which Wii U games are going to bomb?

Mass Effect 3 will probably bomb hard. Then EA will go "hurrdurr our gaemz don't sell on Niitendo conzole, we outa here". And I will be like

and pick up ME3 for Wii U in 6 months from the bargain bin.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

Bomb sales wise - Probably a lot simply because there are actually too many launch games to be properly supported early on. Not the fault of the games but the nature of a selection.

Bomb review wise - Could also be several as teams rushed and/or were outsourced to quickly cash in on the Wii U launch.

The rEVOLution is not being televised

Given how well TTT2 sold elsewhere, the bar for TTT2 is pretty low here, given the additional handicap of a late-port-launch-title. I think it could handily meet reasonable expectations

Mass Effect 3 is going to terribomb.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Mass Effect 3 has been designed to bomb, and it will do so in a glorious, spectacular fashion.

My bet is 350,000 LTD

I think most titles will underperform, simply because there's too much and too many late releases:

Flop:
Mass Effect 3
Darksiders 2
Trine 2
Tanks Tanks Tanks
That 101 game whatever it's called now

Tekken Tag TeamNinja Gaiden

Mediocore:
Batman:AC
CoD:BO II (very poor compared to 360/PS3 but okay overall)
Madden

Well:
ESPN
Rabbids
Sonic Racing (probably sells best on WiiU)
ZombiiU
Assassin's Creed 3 (by far lowest of 3 consoles)
Wii Fit U (but this will be terrible compared to the original's sales)
Just Dance 4 (poor compared to JD3)
Rayman Legends (I'm just hoping here...)
Lego City
Scribblenauts

Great:
NSMBU
NintendoLand

Those types of numbers were fine for the Wii back in the day. Just to maybe break even. But that is not going to cut it this gen.

If Ubisoft is to be beleived and it takes less than $1.3 million to port to the Wii U, 350,000 will be fine.

350,000 x $20 (publisher cut of retail price) = $7 million.

Yeah, Mass Effect 3 is going to be blasted into smithereens. There are quite a few interesting launch games for the Wii U and ME3 just don't have any chance to succeed. Not that EA ever gave it any chance...

MA3 will bomb hard compared to the other versions. its a port, there will be a collection of all thee games on the other consoles and it has technical problems!

EA should just cancel the game!

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

I really can't see ME3 and DS2 doing well.
