Journey is my pick.

Unbelievable good game.

I expect it to won this year.

You're going to be disappointed mate. Its amazing that its nominated. But to go against Mass Effect 3, Dishonored and AC3 is... just hard for a game of such little content, despite it being AMAZING. The world isnt ready for a game like this to be GOTY infront of thousands of people xD

Well AC is the most boring franchise I have played in my life (I played two games and got 100%)...  Mass Effect 3 maybe but I think the first is better... Dishonored I didn't played.

For me Journey is a really great option for GOTY because it is either AMAZING and UNIQUE... the feeling you have at the end of the game is unbeatable.

I loved Borderlands 2 but it's not in the list.

Journeys my favourite too really, but the experience, as good as it is, is too short to be given GOTY by the critics. I hope I am wrong, I do, but I just don't see it. It's my personal GOTY thus far though, for sure.

To me, there is no definite winner. When you could think Mass Effect is an obvious winner, you have people who hated the ending. Dishonored is too new of an IP to generally get the win. Assassin's Creed 3 had a lot of bugs off the bat. Journey is a downloadable game that apparently doesn't have much content according to you (I haven't played it so I'm going by what you are saying...) and The Walking Dead is episodic, which is odd to think of it as a full game as of this second....To top it off, this isn't picked by the fans. So it's anybody's game really.

True, but Dishonored being a new IP is anything BUT bad. Infact I think it'll help it if anything. Bioshock was the big 2007 winner and that was a new IP ;)

This is true. I just couldn't think of anything bad to say about Dishonored. :p I actually "voted" for it since Borderlands 2 wasn't on the shortlist.

Its not really my type of game, but with what you mentioned: I wouldnt be shocked if it actually won xP.

But I still believe in ME3 because of the critics. The reviews are just too high for that game regardless of what fans thought of the ending and it really made a strong impression, wether it was because the game was good or people raged is irrelevant :P.

Scorewise (going by meta....)
Mass Effect 3 is only 1 point ahead of Journey. Which is 1 point ahead of Dishonored. Which is 5 points ahead of Assassin's Creed 3....The walking dead's scores seem to range between 79-88. These are based off the highest numbers for each series...

I know :P but read what I said above this comment.

Also Journey isnt 1 point ahead of Dishonored o_O. Dishonored has 88 meta :0.

EDIT: Oh you're looking at the PC version. I look at the one with the most reviews as that tells us the best "average" score, as ..yknow.. more reviewers are in. The PC version doesnt even have half as many reviews as the 360, so yeah.

You know what would be wicked?

If someone would go through this list of people below and find out what score each site gave to each of the GOTY nominees =>

Entertainment Weekly, Gameinformer, Joystiq, IGN, GameTrailers, 1UP, Wired, Offical Xbox Magazine, Gamespot, Destructoid, USA Today, Giant Bomb, Penny Arcade, Yahoo Games, Nintendo Power Magazine, GamesRadar, PC Gamer, AP, Polygon, Kotaku.

There's many from the same site and how come theres an official Xbox & Nintendo but no Sony? :P

Why??? The game is not full priced too.

Others games: 8 hours per $60
Journey: 2 hours per $15

Seems fine to me and the game deserves every award.
