Two more reviews from everyone's favorite Jim Sterling: Mario gets 8.5 and NintendoLand 7.

Mario-http://www.destructoid.com/review-new-super-mario-bros-u-238434.phtml

"New Super Mario Bros. U is a great little platformer that kicks off the Wii U launch with a bang. Players know exactly what they're getting with this one -- an entertaining and incomplex bit of gaming that provides challenge and smirks in equal measure. While certainly a "safe" game to launch with, it is by no means unremarkable and the only people who would fail to have fun are those with a fundamental aversion to Mario or platformers in general. Literally everybody else would find it incredibly difficult to dislike this one ... even if some of those latter stages will make them temporarily despise it.

Because nobody likes lava levels. Nobody. "

NintendoLand- http://www.destructoid.com/review-nintendo-land-238428.phtml

"Those unconvinced about what the Wii U can do would benefit from finding themselves a way of trying out Nintendo Land. It manages to do a lot with the system without, I believe, even scratching the service of what more focused and dedicated videogames could achieve. It's a game meant to excite you more about the system you just purchased, and that is what it does. Well worth checking out, at any rate. "

Looking good so far. Will any other Wii U games be reviewed soon? Like zombieU or some of the ports

I think the other games are coming at midnight on launch day. Only the two Nintendo titles and Ninja Gaiden (for whatever reason) could be reviewed before.

Also; it seems like an embargo has been lifted. There is now Metacritic scores!

I was disappointed at first when I saw the link, as I thought it was just IGN UK. Clicking on the link redirects me to the US page and shows the same content.

9.1! Damn!

All the talk of how great they built the seemless overworld in NSMBU has me excited. =)

Damn! That's some pretty sweet reviews!! NSMBU is shaping up great!!

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Those really aren't the first though. Just the first of the popular sites.

I loved Ars Technica's final line for their very positive NSMB U review

Verdict: Buy It, but don't necessarily buy a Wii U just for it

Pretty much in line with my expectations.

Yeah that pretty much sums it up. A great review but it really isn't worth buying a whole system for a single game.

And the review scores have just dipped slightly. I expect about 80 for NintendoLand and around 90 for Mario when all is said and done. I think that seems likely.

I must also say that the video review for NSMBU on IGN was very difficult. He was complaining about the visuals when I thought the game looked awesome...
