The laser in my wii is dying I can virtually play no games, :( ironic that I'm getting the Wii U at the end of this month and it nearly exactly 6 years to when I purchased, I still wanted to keep and use my wii and build my wii collection as there's games I've still not played, Im sad at this moment
I FEEL ASHAMED I NEVER CONTINUED TO SUPPORT SEGA AND HELPED IN THERE HARDWARE DEMISE, NINTENDO SAVED ME AND WILL CONTINUE TO SUPPORT A REAL VIDEO GAMES COMPANY!

Play them on your wii u. Just not on your gamepad. I still have my N64, but there were no moving parts. Nintendo still did a good job with the wii since it had moving parts.

Softmod your wii and you can play all your originals from hdd instead.
When my laser died on my wii i softmodded mine and have played my games from hdd instead and you can still use wii´s online even when you are playing from hdd

Maybe I'm not allowed to say this, but softmod > install any USB or SD loader you like (I suggest, go for USB) > grab your Wii discs on external medium of your choice (some loaders could do it internally, like WiiFlow) > enjoy. Mine is 5 yo and just like new, but probably I've never used it that heavily.

Is it easy to buy a new laser amd replace it myself?

I did it myself, it's not a difficult process, just watch a youtube video while you're doing it.
