Wow, excellent sales for the 3ds and AC! So pretty much all of the 600k shipped out sold then. I hope Nintendo can get more copies out, I haven't seen a copy in stock since Friday (second day of release) around me. Even when I went to visit a game shop in a small city in the neighboring prefecture they were sold out. They usually still have copies of games since they are a bit out of the way.

3ds passes 8 million on both trackers. Getting close to passing the ps3 ltd (after a year and a half!)

3ds LL also about to pass Vita LTD by itself. Vita is just...sad...nearing the dead Wii territory, but the Wii's successor is out next month. Vita doesn't have that excuse.

I suppose the number is newsworthy, but the story remains unchanged. 3DS has dominated the hardware side since the price drop + a new slew of Nintendo games.

Milking it would lead to worse sales in the long-term.  The only reason it's selling so well is because people know it's the one and only Animal Crossing for the system.

I imagine that's a typo on the dates, but still really interesting regardless. Never realize how the situtations were similar in the lowest times.

Yeah, the date for the second is 2012. The rest is correct.

They aren't that similar; the 3DS' second worst week was 7k I believe, and only a few weeks were below 10k.
