Don't make me laugh, i work for Tesco and The vita has more shelf space than the wii....... Every store is different and this has just proved how stupid this thread is

Stores are planned from corporate, so it isn't up to the store or department manager as to what is stocked or not.  Trust me, they are planned down to the peg on the peg wall.

Regardless of the layout, the Sony section will lose 4' to accommodate the Wii U.

Here in Portugal Ps3 dominates. 360 doesnt get much space except in Game when it has tons of space and play stations.

my tescos sells everything now, ipads, kindles and what not,not sure i've seen the vita there though which doesn't bode well,it has everything else

Is it a consequence to Sony being most head first into digital distribution as a console? I mean the X360 has digital purchases as well but they don't highlight it as much and don't have things like PS+ changing consumer behavior to be more and more comfortable downloading and getting benefit of many games at their fingertips with no disks to swap or pre-installs to play.

Good question, and I think the answer is no.

If I ponder a guess it is the fact that this holiday season you'll have 4 home consoles on the market, the Wii will be discounted, the Wii U a new release, the Xbox 360 will be discounted, and from what I can gather at this point no major discounts for the PS3.  That puts a lot of emphasis on Nintendo and Microsoft.

As I've said elsewhere, it surprises me because, based on sales, I would believe it would be Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo, in that order from greatest to least, that get the shelf space.

Well I live in Iceland and pretty much all the 360 space was reduced to near zero years ago.

They are unfortunate times for MS

Icelandic market v US market..... Hmmm?

Don't you mean Icelandic market vs. one store in USA?

He didn't catch on to the humor.

Oh well boohoo for Sony then.

I didn't say the entire chain had discontinued the Vita, just my local branches.

im pretty sure your lying about the vita, especially if its a supertore and and extra (in Tesco's at least anyway) im pretty sure in the email i had displaying the POS On entertainment included the vita, and this email is sent out for all stores....so yeah just saying, they might be having a "re-arange" but its sent to EVERY store to remove something if it is discontinued or reduce the price to clear stock...

No, your emailed with a layout plan from head office...and the wii u has not reduced the shelf space of the ps3 in "Tesco stores" anyway the store in op is American
