And Sony is tryiSmash Bros Brawl at $60, when you could just get it for Wii for half that price.

:P

Id rather play as sony characters than with the Nintendo Characters that my 5 year old brother seems to enjoy.

Whatour other post seems to have repf in your quote...

Because you felt the need to delete it, do you take offence to my younger brother enjoying Nintendo?

Look I can do it to.

Interrupting you was part of the joke, which you obviously didn't get anyway. I just didn't think you would go to the trouble of fixing your other post in your reply for no apparent reason. Don't worry about it.

Whether or not one game is better than the other has nothing to do with pricing. Nintendo and Sony are trying to run a business. When your product is in demand, you can charge a premium for it. When your product starts to slip from the spotlight, you drop the price to boost sales. Obviously Nintendo is very happy with NSMB sales and sees no reason to lower the price. Sony sees LBP sales dropping below what they'd like to see and drops the price to increase sales. That's just how business works.

This ^^^  If Sony could sell LBP for $40+ they would, but because gamers won't buy it at that price, they are forced to lower the price because of lower demand.  But gamers do buy NSMB for well over $40, since the demand is high (shown by the sales) there is no need to lower to the price.  People can claim LBP is a better game, but gamers aren't willing to pay a lot to play it;  they will however pay a lot to play NSMB, draw from that whatever conclusions you will.  A Mercedes is expensive because they can sell them for $75,000 and people will buy it, but you can't sell a Ford Focus for that price.

Again.... quality games retain their value. What's funny is that even with the higher average price the NSMB game still outsells LBP.

If there's demand for the game people will buy it at full price, simple as that.

Nintendo and PC gamer

I am more upset when I buy a game for $60 and next week same game is priced $40

At least with Nintendo games, when I buy for $50, I know that price will hold for a while and it also means that when I sell it back I will get a decent price back.

I think game publishers ought to release game at varried price based on value proposition, and then hold on that price for certain length of time because if the value hasn't changed, why does the price?

I don't know what's worse, those greedy bastards at Kyoto, or me supporting their consoles and handhelds since then N64 and the GBA. Am I a blind lamb? Oh, the horror!

This is some sort of response or reaction thread?

I found the thread. This is even more moronic than the original. Nice work.

Nah I got it, just wasn't very funny...I mean didn't that Kanye West thing happen like 2 years ago? those jokes had grown stale after the first week of the incident so you must understand hearing that after 2 years is not very amusing.

Bah. I typically only buy Nintendo games new when they're recently released (as in within a year of release).

Off-topic, but GameStop has some awesome deals on used Wii games in my area. Red Steel 2, Muramasa, and Metroid Prime 3 for $25 total? I can't pass that up.
