Am I the only one who noticed how poorly written this article is?

The title mentions $220million in Global sales within 24 hours for Halo 4, but then goes on to compare it to this years movies, but then mentions Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows part 2 which came out in 2011. Then they go on to compare it to The Avengers but only count US sales figures? WTF?

This is a completely unfair comparison.
If you're going to use Halo 4 global sales, compare it to global sales for the movies. But I guess MS can't do that because then they would have nothing to brag about.

Why are you so upset at how well Halo 4 is doing.  Seriously youve been going into every Halo thread and trying to spin and bash it.

I'm not. Maybe you are reading my comments wrong and taking it too personally.

What I wrote in my comment is in no way bashing Halo, its bashing whoever wrote this press release.
I have NEVER bashed Halo 4. I would  love for you to dig up a comment of my bashing the game. I've said myself that I've never played it. I have however participated in sales discussion threads relating to the game.

The proof Halo 4 has sold the most copies week 1 is right in the revenue.

Least expensive Halo on 360. Highest income in franchise history. 4 million at least week 1 is now 100% certain

Didn't Microsoft say it was the most expensive? Or what there some effin PR spin on that as well?

im pretty sure they did i dont know what the other guy was talking about but he´s wrong.

Maybe he´s talking about the price of the game idk?

least expensive Halo at retail.  This should be obvious.

That is why the revenue figures prove Halo 4 sold more copies than Halo 3 and Reach.  The most expensive copy of Halo 4 was the 99 dollar limited edition.  Both Halo 3 and Reach had 150 dollar Legendary editions.  The fact that Halo 4 brought in more revenue while being the cheapest game proves it sold the most copies

Yup, Avengers opened at $392m WW first week. Halo will be nowhere near. But they mention Harry Potter because it has the highest first day box office in USA ($91m)

Seems like they don't have first week results in yet, they should have waited a few more hours. But I gues they decided to rush it since Black Ops 2 will be making headlines the next few days.

GAF said there are 500k LEs of Halo 4 in the market... that's puts the numbers around 3.3 million units in the first day.

3.8m was first week.

With 3.3 million first day seems like Halo 4 sold slightly over 4 million first week.

Edit - lol fixed.

How does this compare to the amount of money COD makes?

And wow, 4 million players in“Halo 4” Makes Entertainment History... the first 5 days?! That means it will probably be slightly over 4 million for it's first week. Higher than my original estimate.

Hmm don't be surprised if you don't see 4 million sales first week.  More than one player can play on one copy on one Xbox 360 remember.

This apply the same way around, a lot of players don't have their profiles connected to xbox live. Just for humor you, in Mexico 60 million of people have a console (73% has a 360) yet only 40 million have access to internet...

You can say a lot of countries can be similar, hell, one of my friends lives in the States, and he has a 360 and Internet, but yet he doesn't have his console connected...

Bull***t.
Where are you getting these ridiculous numbers from? IF 60 million have a console in Mexico, and 73% have a 360 that would make it 43,800,000 sales of XBox 360 in Mexico alone.

You need to calm down pal and don't be such a party pooper.  So he got confused or mid translated, clearly he didn't  mean that

Calm down? I am perfectly calm pal. It's impossible to read emotion/tone from a comment, so it must be you the one is aggravated. Try taking deep breaths, then go back and re-read my comments.
He obviously did mean it. This was no typo and he didnt get confused. He was pulling numbers out of his ass.

How do they calculate that? It's way more expensive in Europe for example.

Average price but more expensive put the numbers below 3.3 million.
