Thanks. Man that's insane. @Barozi: are the Reach numbers WW or just US too? |
Looks like WW.

didn't prices for videogames decrease a few percentages over the time?
Anyway, 4 million first week is outstanding.
Imagine not having GamePass on your console...
yo_john117 said: How does this compare to the amount of money COD makes? And wow, 4 million players in the first 5 days?! That means it will probably be slightly over 4 million for it's first week. Higher than my original estimate. |
Closing in on my prediction! 4.1m.

Nope bigger gap than that. Halo Reach had a mass produced 150 dollar version. The most expensive version of Halo 4 was only 99
Entertainment history? Not so much. Impressive numbers, sure, but that's kind of silly. It's like Periwinkle Apples bragging because they performed better than the best selling brand of Oranges, even though they aren't the best selling brand of Apples.

Well, COD has pulled in higher WW money on its first day since MW2 in 2009:
COD: MW2 = $310m+
COD: BO = $360m+
COD: MW3 = $400m+
But what makes Halo 4's $220m so impressive is that it only released on a single system as opposed to COD's three platforms (including PC).
Week 1 is between 4.5 - 5 million.
This is th3 cheapest Halo ever launched and yet the h8ghest revenue. Both Halo 3 and Reach had mass produced 150 versions while the most expensive Halo 4 was 99
Halo 4 garnered over 4 million online users in the first 5 days. Over 40% of 360s arent even connected to Live.
Massive success for bithe MS and Halo. Congrats 343

Over 40m people using Xbox Live, active members wich means people that have signed to their account for at least 8 months.
70m Xbox Sold to Date.
76m Xboxs by years end and 45m Live members?
Rememver you can have multiple Live users per Xbox so I stand by 40% of 360s arent online. Remember high speed internet isnt easiky available still in many parts of the world.
Looking at the stats I dont see how it could do less than 4.5 week one. Especially considering it generated the most money while being the cheapest Halo this gen.

Hmm don't be surprised if you don't see 4 million sales first week. More than one player can play on one copy on one Xbox 360 remember.
