My 48 is Pokemon Black and White, which is down three places from last year (where it was 45)

My commentary from last year

45. Pokemon Black and White, DS (2011) Nintendo/Game Freak
In one of those ever-unfair conundrums, Black and White is a superior entry to many of the other Pokemon games on this list, but the others win nostalgia points and come out many places ahead. Black and White, however, will remain the first Pokemon game where i finally took Pokemon training seriously, and reaped the rewards of a perfectly-balanced team. Final squad: Emboar, Krookodile, Swanna, Zekrom, Celebi, Weavile

My next is a ripoff of Final Fantasy in name, but not in gameplay.

The Last Story?

My 48th is Minecraft.
When I first played it, it was very fun. Espacially with my friends, unfortunately it started to become stale with all the bullshit updates, that I do not like.

My hint for my 47th is the prequel of a game that came out this week.

Game 47 had been announced for a year before anyone actually started paying any attention to it thanks to a sleek new trailer. It wasn't quite as incredible as I had been hoping, but it's a top-50 title nonetheless.

Is it Dead Island?

don't waste time

3DS FC 4914-3563-4510

NNID : turtuls

Those who said "The Last Story" are correct.

Miz's 47 is God of War 2: The End Begins

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Around the Network

I suppose no one has played EA's General Chaos (Genesis) which eventually led to me boycotting them (because they never released a sequel). The king of sequels couldn't even release a sequel to one of their greatest gaming ideas. Of course now it probably wouldn't be that great. Nostalgia...

#48 - Tekken Tag Tournament

Definitely the high point in a fantastically smooth, frantic and enjoyable beat 'em up series for me.  Basically felt like the first 3 games rolled into one, with tagging, and bowling, and graphics which I still to this day find beautiful.  Plus, Jun was in it, so I could make my dream tag-team of Nina and Jun :)

Clue for my #47 - This is the part where I tell you.

49. Starquake (Amstrad CPC464- also on Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum, and Atari)

One of two games on my list that were released before I was born. This game was brilliant, if a bit difficult. You play BLOB (Bio-Logically Operated Being) who crash lands on a planet full of hostiles beings and has to find all the pieces of a core needed to stabilise the planet (A total of 9 different pieces). It was open world, featured hovercraft, teleporters and the locations of the core and it's pieces would randomly change with each new game. Really ahead of its time the game area was massive, colourful and it was a joy to explore its 2D landscapes.

No. 47 clue: A beautiful cell shaded reboot of a classic platform/adventure.

48th - Tales of Phantasia (SNES, 1996)
The only Tales of game in my list, Tales of Phantasia is an amazing RPG with one of the most thought provoking villains and endings that I've seen in a video game. The entire premise of your actions are based on the fact of overthrowing a tyrant which was only acting out in desperation of his entire planet, your final actions have a lot of weight and leave open a lot of questions that are only partially answered in future Tales of games. Having said this, the game did have a lot of pacing troubles, with a lot of void and meaningless tidbits in between some actual good story moments, plus it had a badly responsive and bugged battle system from time to time which annoying given the high difficulty of the overall battles (this issue was later resolved on the PSX version, with a much more responsive command input system and better animations).

I really need to play this again. I never got very far as their were other games to play but it's on my list of old games to play through properly.

Dishonored?

Where can I buy your mind-reading equipment?

It was so tempting to make a reference to my avatar, but that would be instantly obvious. I think I can make 46 more of a challenge, but that can wait until tomorrow.
