Or not, if the 3DS becomes a mega beast in comparison there - it's happening, and no resistance is being made.

I doubt they're going to make another Resistance for the Vita, one is enough.

punctuation is the key here. He never said that another one is going to be made.

"and no, resistance is being made" but close enough.

I know this is the internet, but I'm joking.  Just a little wordplay.  Resistance is the name of a Sony franchise as well as what Sony need to put up in Japan.

I regret it now.

I know that, it's just that you said "I doubt they're going to make another Resistance for the Vita, one is enough." despite VicViper having said "it's happening, and no resistance is being made." which would imply that he claims that NO Resistance is in the making.
You're respond should've been "You don't think they're going to make another Resistance game for the Vita ?" or "Yeah I also think they're not going to make another Resistance game for the Vita".

Isnt...that what he said? bolded.

he said "I doubt" which implies that he's not holding the same opinion as the user he quoted, whereas "I also" means that he's agreeing with the quote.

I agree.

So what? Are you absolutely sure that this will stop third parties from making games for the Vita?

No, but 15 million is too much, imo. It's too much behind to achieve that, I think.

Ah, I see where you're coming from a little better now.  Glad it didn't completely go over your head!

Take another think about what was said though.

"3DS becomes a mega beast in comparison there - it's happening, and no resistance is being made."

No Resistance is being made.  That doesn't mean one will never come.  The "I doubt" comment was implying that one would never be made, since we already have one.  Therein lies the difference.

I think the fact that I have had to explain this whole matters means the joke has failed, though.  Perhaps I did word it badly.  I shall have to think much more carefully next time about whether it is worth the effort, despite the words of encouragement from Vic himself!

But I think I have derailed enough.  I shall leave you to continue with your predictions.

I liked the joke. Dont quit, fight for you dreams.

Yep, good joke, I liked it as well.  You can fly!

Software sells hardware, it's as simple as that. 3DS learned that the fact the hard way but acted quickly and today, the 3DS is no longer being sold at a loss, has an incredible software library (Fire Emblem, Animal Crossing and Luigi's Mansion coming in Q1 or Q2 of 2013 - can't wait) and is gaining momentum like crazy.

The problem with the Vita is that it has no software that appeal to the masses to justify the purchase. The Vita's hardware is really cool and intriguing but there is no platinum seller like Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, Monster Hunter. I'm afraid that without the help of third party franchises like Final Fantasy and others, the system will have a short life.

On a side not, I don't even think Square Enix will release Final Fantasy X on the Vita anymore. It will probably be released on the 3DS. Square Enix had a lot of success with Dragon Quest on the 3DS almost selling 1 million, and another is coming with Dragon Quest VII on the 3DS... So I really don't see a positive future with the Vita :(

Well Kinect is way cheaper, and it is riding the XBox 360s coat-tails. So it's entirely possible...but then again, Vita isn't even 1 year old yet. It hasn't had its first holiday yet....Vita will rise. The easiest way would be a price cut, but that is just a temporary boost, it would go back to doom levels and Sony would be losing a lot of money on a dying handheld.

It seems like Sony isn't support the Vita, but there really isn't much they can do. There's a great library on it, and more coming the next few weeks. That should hopefully put it in a position to outsell the Nintendo DS.(No, not 3DS) this holiday.

Long Story Short: No way to know for sure although from the looks of it, your prediction sounds about right.

The way the DS has been selling compared to the Vita, I highly doubt it'll outsell the DS this holiday season.

Bold prediction time !!!

I'm going to go ahead and say no. I believe the Vita can get at least 30m lifetime sales. They have been bundling Kinect decently with most of their SKUs. It isn't bundled with every SKU though right?
