So it goes without saying that gamers can't agree on which games rock, and which stink out loud.
Some people love Final Fantasy XIII; some hate it. Some adore Grand Theft Auto IV; others are busy burying their copies in a landfill in El Paso.
But this isn't just about which games you think are overrated or underrated. It's about which games you will fight tooth and nail to defend. You know. Those games where if you see someone badmouthing it in a thread like this one, you just can't bring yourself to click "next." You NEED to defend its honor.
So what are they??

For me, it's probably Metroid: Other M. Just because of the sheer volume of hate, and the fact that I think it's a great game. It's the game I'd be most willing to get into an actual fight over.

Along with Other M (which I wouldn't have remembered if it weren't posted above) I find myself defending Gears of War (I love the story while most gamers say, "What story!?"), Kinect titles, and New Super Mario Bros.

Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty
For me the best in the series (critics and sales wise too). I keep telling people Snake Eater is good but not as good as Sons of Liberty which themes are more relevant now than ever.

I am not surprised about this. The red flags kept on rising during the last week and it all started with you being a Patriots fan.
On topic: The Super Mario Bros. series. It's ridiculous and sad at the same time that this series needs to be defended. And not because it's badmouthed by people from the Sony or Microsoft camp.
Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV (360+PS3) would outsell SSBB. I was wrong.

Of course as of late I have liked anything with "ama" in it. Or so I am told.

This generation? The closest would be FFXIII but that isnt saying much since it is a far cry from the older installations. Second would be Skyward Sword despite the fact that I hate motion controls.
In general, dont really care if a person hates a game or not, an opinion is still an opinion ;p
