I don't really see why everyone is arguing this point back and forth, it's clear the lineup is crap, and is full of characters to make up the numbers.

Sometimes it's good to take a step back and actually think what you're arguing about.

Question is, are most these characters familiar to most people who play video games regularly. The answer is a simple "no". Why all the indepth posts trying to prove otherwise, if walls of text are needed to prove such a simple point then it's obvious there's much straw clutching and those walls of texts are just trying to "win" an argument through any means.

Is PSABR an "all-star" ensemble? No it is not (about 10 heavy hitters and 10 Z-listers).
Is SSBB an "all-star" ensemble? Yes it is (along with a shed load of Z-listers)

Anyway, won't post again on this, what I've said has already been said a hundred times in a hundred different ways.


I would agree with almost all of what you said, but you have to remember, its called Playstation All Stars, not Video Game All Stars. Adding third party characters isnt a issue since its called "Playstation" and we know that the entire PS Brand has heavily focused on third party. If they wanted a first party character exclusive just like Nintendo, they would of called it "Sony All Stars" but that wouldnt of helped them much due to the fact that their characters arent as developed as Nintendo's in terms of sales/recognition.

My main complaint on the roster is that there is a lack of a Squareenix character which is surprising...even if it is a DLC, they should of had at least 1 character (on the non-DLC roster) and I wonder why they didnt come to any agreement with SE on it :(

Raiden = Pre-MGS3 people hated him, there are more people who like him cause of his appearance in MGS4 and that is sparking a spinoff if you didnt know.

Whether the roster is crap or not depends on a person's taste, to me its a bit lack luster but far from crap as there are a couple of characters that I will enjoy playing as such as Kratos, Dante, Raiden.

Yes its also sometimes good to research something you dont know rather than spewing garbage about it. I mean is it that hard to check up on Wikipedia...at least to know the name of the games that the characters are from l0l. 

Yeah most of these characters arent well known because well most of them havent had the time to develop as much as Nintendo's roster has when SSB came out and after it came out. Sony's not known to further develop their characters until recently with R&C, J&D (a bit not so much) and especially God of War.

Also should you really be asking why people are posting on a internet forum....?

As said won't post again on this. But you pretty much hit it on the head in a balanced way.
