Forums - Sony Discussion - How good is Jak & Daxter?

I loved jak 1 but didn't like jak 2 all that much. I also loved ratchet and clank 1 and HATED ratchet and clank 2 for some reason

some of my favorite games on ps2 jak III was holy shit good....theres a fucking hover board guys,,,,,

Loved Jak1, loved Jak2 even more...didn't like Jak3 as much, but I think that's because the novelty was wearing off. It was actually a better and more polished game still.

Brilliant games, can't say enough good things about them and much better than Ratchet and Clank imo although they are also fantastic, better story mostly in J&D.

I played Jak and Daxter for about 10 minutes and can safely say it is the worstest game ever.

10 Minutes is far too little to judge a whole game.

But you have a fucking MR FEENY AVATAR HOLY SHIT

forever in my heart :D <3

All this time, I thought it was VIctor Neuman from the soap opera The Young and the Restless.

I feel pretty silly, now.

The Jak trilogy is among the best releases on the PS2, along with Ratchet & Clank. I can safely recommend them all! Humor, drama, great platforming, entertaining shooter elements, memorable boss fights, cool enemies, cool transport, good level design, fantastic controls and overall an experience that few developers besides Naughty Dog could hope to produce.

Jak and Daxter is amazing! However, Ratchet sold more on the PS2 and that is why the franchise got the focus on the PS3.

I always preferred Jak over Ratchet.

its hereeee!!

I may be a little late, but the games are amazing! They were miles ahead of their time and really great fun to play, I would rank them 3, 1, 2, but they are all definitely worthy of playing, enjoy them!

Playing the first one now, about an hour into the game, its pretty fun and it being released in 2001 isnt stopping me one bit (was a bit worried at first). already chuckled a couple of times xD. Its different from what im used to playing :3 nice stuff!

Jak II is vastly different though, the whole series takes a rather sharp turn, some would say for the better while others would say for worse.
Jak I was more Crash Bandicoot in style while Jak II embraces more modern gameplay in many ways.
The third game expands upon the concepts of Jak II and blows everything up one size and notch.

All in all, its among the best trilogies ever published in my opinion.
